.- Mr. Capristo gave a good impression during the consultation and seemed genuinely concerned for my best interest in my child custody case. I hired him. -After he received his payment, I was treated more like a nuisance than a valued client. It was like he didn’t care how long this case mig...ht take to complete, I figured it was because I paid the full amount of the flat fee up front. He wouldn’t get more money from me regardless of how much or how little effort he put in. It was seemingly a large fee for an uncontested case. If I walked away from the law office the payment I made would have been lost, no refund, not even partial money back. No matter how unsatisfactory the service. - depending on what was going on at the time, I would call anywhere from every few weeks to about two months for updates to find out if anything new was required of me and to see if there was anything new I should know about . Most of the time I would not receive call backs and would need to call again. It was made clear that my calling for updates was a bother. -While waiting in the lobby for an appointment, I overheard Mr. Capristo and the staff ladies making rude and unprofessional comments about a client. I don’t think they knew I was up front waiting, unprofessional none the less. -The defendant seemed to be evading being served; I was asked by the law office secretary why was it so hard to get the defendant served? I just said I don’t know, but thought: isn’t that why I hired an attorney, and isn’t this what lawyers do all the time, shouldn’t this be somewhat easy for them since this is something they do all the time. The law office seemed annoyed because of the unsuccessful attempts at serving the defendant with papers. After probably 9 months I had to make my own suggestions on how to get the defendant served. I thought: why the hell did I pay thousands to do something I could probably just do myself? -It took over a year and a half- maybe two, to complete an uncontested case. -This was already a stressful situation and the stress was amplified by having to pay more than a few thousand dollars for crappy, RUDE service. -You should take your money elsewhere, maybe you will get lucky and get service where you will not be considered a last priority and you can get your issues resolved in a timelier and less stressful manner.
