100 mph ticket dismissed
Jul 12, 2018OUTCOME: Dismissed on all counts, Found the Court never filed a sworn complaint as required by law With the passage of time, the Statute of Limitations had gone by and at the present time in 2018, the court no longer had jurisdiction to file a complaint.
In 2012, Client Driver received a 100 mph speeding ticket from the Highway Patrol. After receiving the ticket, he "forgot" about it until.......2017 he went to renew his Driver's License and was "remi ... nded" about the ticket. His $300 fine in 2012 had bloated with penalties, taxes, collection fees and DPS clearance fees to over $700! At least he knew not to simply pay the ticket because that would cause points and a conviction or two on his driving record. Client Driver enlisted Markowitz Law to represent him in this mess so he could renew his DL without messing up his DL record.
