On 11/24/09 James Rafael was riding his bicycle to work, and was hit by an employee of Platt Elec while driving the company vehicle. The impact threw Mr. Rafael's body on top of the car, and then 30' ... into the air landing on the ground. He suffered a loss of consciousness, and fractured left clavicle, right leg and right ankle. He underwent multiple surgeries and many months off work recovering. He ultimately made a full recovery.
