Avidan Meyerstein

I am a Shareholder in the Washington, D.C. Region office of Jackson Lewis P.C.  My practice focuses on workplace safety and health matters.  I counsel and represent clients on MSHA, OSHA, CSB and other safety agency compliance, investigations, and enforcement actions. 

I have participated in the successful defense and settlement of dozens of penalty cases and assisted clients in maintaining cooperative relationships with the agencies even while presenting a vigorous defense.  I also represent national trade associations in rulemakings.

When workplace accidents or injuries occur, my colleagues and I provide rapid response legal counsel, coordinating client investigations, interacting with government agencies, and preparing for potential litigation

In the past, I have also represented companies in major antitrust actions in federal district and appellate courts, helping his industrial clients recover overpayments caused by monopolies or price-fixing conspiracies.

Through my pro bono work, I founded and represent the Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP), a coalition of over 85 non-governmental organizations that build people-to-people cooperation and coexistence in the Middle East.

I received a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College of Columbia University in 1999 and earned my Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002.

I am currently a member of the bar in the District of Columbia and Maryland. I am also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Fifth and Sixth Circuits and U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
