James Aaron Allen

Mr. Allen was hired by my sister and myself in 2015 about a negligence case towards Residence Inn in Springfield, Virginia. After faxing to his office the necessary documents in 2016, I have yet to hear from him about my case. Before contacting Avvo, I called several times, left a message, and he sti...ll has yet to contact me as of this date (3/24/2018).

In spite of my repeated requests, James Allen hardly returned my calls or replied to my e-mails on time; never finished writing one letter to the other party during the entire period of his representation; and the other party's lawyer wrote that he did not appreciate James Allen's silence. At first, ...James failed to realize the other party's legal action was real, not threatening; later, he did not understand why the other party filed two complaints for the same matter; and lacked the expertise and knowledge required to handle my case. He failed to investigate into my lease and the other party's deed of appointment, so failed to identify and use legal bases to defend my company with facts and legal documents. When I complained about his handling of my case, he sent me two settlement agreement forms with his offer to return most of his legal fees paid by me. However, it was too small to compare with the judgment amount in hundreds of thousands dollars imposed against my company.
