Outstanding!

Mr. Flanagan is an outstanding lawyer. He stuck with me through a very difficult divorce and an ongoing, complicated custody and visitation case. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, he has an uncanny ability to speak in layman's terms so you understand completely even the most complex laws.... Additionally, he is a very personable and genuine man of his word. I would recommend Mr. Flanagan without hesitation.

Not happy and charged $30k without even going to trial.

Lost custody to a kidnapping, controlling, abusive mother who didnt have a place to live when i am a home owner. They failed to even finish a temporary custody agreement and left me negotiating minutes before court trial because they said that's the best I'd get as a father no matter how innocent I ...am.

Mr. Bates agreed to a settlement the morning of trial. We were prepared. It was his decision not to have his case tried. If you go on Maryland Judiciary Case Search you will see that Mr. Bates posted this complaint after a judgment was entered against him for unpaid legal fees on May 12, 2014. Because Mr. Bates would not respond to my offer to work out his outstanding invoice, we had to take him to court. After hearing both sides, a judge determined that the fees (not "close to 30K") were reasonable and awarded our law firm a judgment for every penny we asked for. More information about these occurrences are available on request. My duty as a lawyer is to be candid with my clients. I take this duty seriously. . I had to tell him that the evidence did not support his opinion that the child's mother had "kidnapped" their child or that she was "homeless". A police officer was supervising on the scene, the day the mother moved out of Mr. Bate's house. By his own admission he had cut off electricity to the family home while the mother and child were living there. This was alarming to the child's mother. Mr. Bates obtained a settlement that gave him substantial access to his child. He decided to agree to the settlement rather than go to trial.

Outstanding Attorney!

Mr. Flanagan has assisted me in my custody case in which I was extremely successful. I was awarded full custody and child support. Additionally he is very knowledgeable about civil service retirement benefits. He is currently helping me on a tax matter related to my divorce. My case has not been... an easy one. The opposing counsel and my former husband were very adversarial. I was fortunate to have Mr. Flanagan working for me. He has fought hard to be sure that I got what I was entitled to. I would recommend him to all my family and friends without any hesitation.

Excellent & Knowledgeable

Mr. Flanagan is a great family law collaborative attorney. He understands complex legal issues. He represented me on a case involving divorce, child custody, child visitation, child support, alimony and marital property division. I am a detail oriented person and therefore had so many questions whic...h he spent a good time on phone, email and meetings in person. He clearly answered all of my questions. He is very knowledgeable attorney and is committed to his client success. Besides his professional life, he is a very nice person too. I recommend Mr. Flanagan any person seeking a caring attorney.

Highly Recommended

Mr. Flanagan represented me on a case involving three different problems. The first was my ex husband's claim that I had interfered with visitation rights. The second one involved my rightful share of his federal pension. And the third was for child support. Mr. Flanagan was easy to work with, ho...nest, and knowledgeable with all aspects of the legal system. I always felt like I had a strong advocate working for my children and me.
