We retained Joy shortly after the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2013. Joy provided us with excellent advice and counsel - she got nothing wrong and everything right. She was very available and empathetic to our anxieties. I'm pretty good with navigating g...overnment systems on my own (I'm not a lawyer), but I did not want to take any chances with CIS. She had insights I would've never had and helped us present a case that sailed through (as it should have). We were successful and my husband is on the road to full citizenship. Because of the repeal of DOMA, my wife and I wanted to have the help of a lawyer to assist us with our adjustment of status.
