Jonathan Tycko

The majority of Mr. Tycko's practice is in civil litigation. He has substantial experience in False Claims Act qui tam whistleblower lawsuits, unfair competition litigation, employment litigation, real estate litigation, and consumer class action litigation. He also has represented other attorneys in a number of large legal malpractice cases, and has represented a variety of businesses in various types of disputes.

Mr. Tycko is an experienced appellate litigator. He has represented parties in appeals before the United States Supreme Court, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, and the federal circuit courts for the D.C. Circuit, Third Circuit, Fourth Circuit, Fifth Circuit, Ninth Circuit and Federal Circuit. Mr. Tycko is often hired to handle appeals in matters that were litigated by other attorneys in the trial courts.

In addition to litigation of whistleblower, qui tam, harassment and discrimination claims, we also occassionally represent employee or former employees in negotiations for severance agreements or new employment contracts. We also frequently represent employees or former employees is discrimination and harassment lawsuits.

In addition to litigation of real estate disputes, we also represent tenant associations in connection with tenant purchases and conversions of apartment buildings under the D.C. Rental Housing Conversion and Sale Act (also known as the Tenant Opportunity To Purchase, or TOPA, law).
