Great lawyer!

Bruce was a wonderful lawyer, answering all my questions and being very flexible time-wise throughout the process. My case was a status adjustment from non-immigrant visa to a permanent lawful residence (green card). Both the work permit and the green card were approved several months ahead of normal... expected time. I can’t thank him enough for the smooth process. Many many thanks!

Detailed Oriented Immigration Attorney.

First of all, I want to thank the people who gave an honest review about Attorney Bruce here on AVVO. My husband and I hired him because we trusted in your reviews, they were truly authentic reviews and you all did not disappoint us. In 2021, after reading reviews from previous clients here, I gave ...Bruce a call. He was a very good listener and he asked the right questions that will lead to right results. My husband and I needed a good and a straight forward immigration lawyer and through reviews we both agreed to choose Attorney Bruce and this was the best decision we made. We started our immigration process with his guidance and provided him with all the documents he requested in December 2021. Bruce submit my paper work on January 2022. In 5 months I did get my work authorization. It was 2 years work authorization. There was no communication from USCIS until 4 months into the expiration of the work authorization, we got a notification for RFE.(Request For Evidence) So Bruce submit extra evidence to the already submitted ones. During these times I will be calling him. I remember during one of our conversation, he said to me, Joycelyn "the devil is in the details" so be patient and give me time to put the documents together and arrange them perfectly before we submit them. Indeed Bruce, you were absolutely right. Everything was put together and he sent them out to USCIS. Two weeks later, we got a notification that my case was approved. The most amazing part was that, we never went for an interview and I was given 10 years Green Card. Just give Bruce the requested documents he will ask from you and he knows the right details to write together with the documents. The experienced immigration lawyer matters when dealing with USCIS. Bruce is a very good listener, he responds to messages and phone calls regardless of his busy schedules. Just like my husband and I trusted other clients reviews, please trust mine. I'm not a robot or a paid actress, everything I'm writing here is my experience with Bruce. Bruce, Thank you so much for your services, time and patience with me and other Clients too. I am definitely recommending Bruce to anyone who needs immigration lawyer.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Attorney Yamashita is an expert in immigration law and an outstanding advocate for his clients. Many lawyers are good at the nuts and bolts practice of law but few really care about their clients to the point of treating them like family rather than simply numbers or case files. Attorney Yamashita is masterful at both the practice of law and the art of really caring and looking out for his clients. Clients deal directly with him (not some invisible assistant) and are always kept informed of any case updates. His personable and compassionate approach leaves his clients knowing that he is truly looking out for them as individuals and not just another case. I strongly recommend Bruce Yamashita to anyone looking for a great immigration lawyer who will go the extra mile on behalf of his clients. You won't find a better one."

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
