Steven M Buckman

Steven M. Buckman, a AV Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.   Mr. Buckman concentrates his practice on title,condominium conversion, lending documentation, foreclosure, receiverships, business and real estate related issues. He frequently serves as an expert witness. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and the State of New York, as well as the federal courts of the District of Columbia and Maryland.  He is a licensed title agent in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland. While in law school he was in clerk for the late Rita Davidson, Judge of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and worked as a law clerk. He holds membership status in the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors where in sits on Education Committee. He is a former president of the District of Columbia Land Title Association and is a past President of the Maryland Land Title Association.   In March of 2012 Mr. Buckman was appointed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to serve on its Small Business Review Panel which reviewed the CFPB’s formal rulemaking proposal to combine mortgage disclosures under the Truth in Lending Act and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and is considered an expert on TRID.
