For 20 years I have represented shareholders, institutional investors, and financial industry professionals in litigation, arbitrations and regulatory investigations nationwide. I have been named as a Washington, DC "Super Lawyer"​ by Thomson Reuters and as one of the city's "Top Lawyers"​ by Washingtonian magazine.

I have played a leading role in numerous securities and shareholder class actions from inception to conclusion, resulting in the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars for shareholders, including multi-million dollar settlements in cases involving Bluegreen Corp., CNX Gas, Mod-Pac Corp., Cybex Int'l., Allied Irish Banks, Iridium World Communications, En Pointe Technologies, PriceSmart, Polk Audio, Meade Instruments, Xicor, Inc., Streamlogic, Interbank Funding, Riggs National, UTStarcom, and Manugistics Group. 

I have a track record of achieving victories in federal trials and appeals, including Nathenson v. Zonagen, Inc., 267 F. 3d 400, 413 (5th Cir. 2001); SEC v. Butler, 2005 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 7194 (W.D. Pa. April 18, 2005); and Belizan v. Hershon, 434 F. 3d 579 (D.C. Cir. 2006).

I also have a successful track record of obtaining injunctive relief in connection with shareholder M&A litigation, having won injunctions in cases involving such companies as Portec Rail Products, Craftmade International, Parlux Fragrances, Complete Genomics, and Integrated Silicon Solutions.  My litigation efforts have helped shareholders secure higher buyout prices in mergers, including In re Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. Shareholder Litigation, where our claims contributed to a $93 million (57%) increase in the merger price, and in the case of Berger v. Life Sciences Research, which resulted in an increase in the transaction price from $7.50 to $8.50 per share, for a total of $11.5 million.
