Over the past 20 years of practicing in the transaction area, I noticed the inordinate rise in costs of lawyers' services, which takes the form of an enormous increase in hourly billing rates. It was evident this has been driven by huge increases in law firm overhead, not any change in the services provided. I became convinced that top level corporate and business representation can be provided from a law firm platform which avoids the greatest drivers of overhead.

So, in December 2006 with partner Robert W. Liles, I established a boutique law firm dedicated to bringing to business and corporate clients the high level of practice of my prior (large) law firm, coupled with small firm efficienies. We have eperienced a gratifying level of success with this approach in a hort time, and been able to expand to our current size of 7 attorneys. Our pledge is that our growth will in no way be allowed to divert us from our initial practice plan- the highest level of advice and counsel provided with maximum efficiency.
