Caution: Do Not Trust

Mr. Fried handled a litigation for me which he dragged out for years telling me the legal system was slow. In the end I fired him because he failed to collect subpoenaed documents from the opposition and was found to have actually undermined my case deliberately. Mr. Fried according to s search of ...the Superior Court for the District of Columbia has been the Plaintiff against multiple clients who also found his truthfulness lacking and left his legal practice injured more than before coming in contact with him. I was greatly injured by Mr. Fried. We are in the process of seeking redress through civil and criminal investigations.

I wish the reviewer would disclose who he/she is or contact me so that I could fully respond and attempt to address his/her concerns. The remainder of the review is rather odd as at no time have I ever been "fired" by a client and I have never been the plaintiff in a case in the District of Columbia A law firm I was associated many years ago with did sue a client I formerly represented. The firm withdrew after the client stopped remitting payment for invoices over a substantial period of time. That matter, Baise and Miller v. Dr. Edward Plotzker, is a matter of public record in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and resulted in a substantial monetary judgment being entered on behalf of my former firm. The remainder of the "review" is nonsensical and utter nonsense.

Danger, Danger Avoid Stewart Fried!!!

I hired Mr. Fried to represent me in a business transaction. I soon found myself involved in an expensive litigation process in Washington, DC brought on by Mr. Fried's handling of my affairs. Mr. Fried used his power of attorney without my knowledge or approval triggering the litigation. Now that t...he dust has settled and we have looked at Mr. Fried's representation it appears that Mr. Fried shared our business' information with persons not authorized by me. We have recently discovered that Mr. Fried's concealed conflicts of interest within his law firm when he accepted to represent us. Mr. Fried shared our business strategy within his firm resulting in a third party gaining access to details of our business. A third party with connections to Mr. Fried's firm sought to block our business deal. We recovered from Mr. Fried's unfortunate representation and in the end recovered all of our losses. None of our hardship would have occurred if Mr. Fried had not involved others in our business. Do not take chances using Mr. Fried. I hope this comment helps to protect others from the poor representation Mr. Fried provided to us as a client.

I would be in a better position to respond to this review if I knew who the client was. My practice is predominantly litigation and do not typically represent clients in "business transactions." At no time have I ever shared client information with others and have never been suspended or discliplined by the bar. I always strive to promptly address client concerns and urge this "client" to disclose who he or she is on this site and/or contact me directly.

Stewart Fried is Professional, Ethical, Courteous and Attentive

I have hired Stewart in eight separate matters over the course of the last 12 years; he has represented and/or advised me both personally and through my business interests. At all times I have found him to be very professional, ethical, courteous and attentive regardless of only a few thousand dollar...s or millions of dollars being at stake. Twice I have watched him take the deposition of the opposing side where his questions blew multiple holes in their cases; within a week of one of those depositions, the plaintiff dismissed with prejudice their case against me. About 7 or so years ago I remember calling Stewart after hours on his cell phone to ask him a question. Towards the end of the conversation, I asked how his pregnant wife was doing. He responded that she went into labor an hour ago and that they were currently driving to the hospital. THAT is how dedicated he is to his clients. Stewart has always been upfront and beyond reproach with his advice and professional opinions on matters. More than once, he has given me advice and/or a case assessment that was contrary to what I hoped to hear. Each time he was completely correct thereby saving me hundreds of thousands of dollars in liability and an untold amount of attorney’s fees. I have recommended Stewart to multiple friends and business associates. Each and every one of them has been completely satisfied with his superior legal representation and they too have recommended him to others. I highly recommend Stewart Fried to anyone in need of competent, thorough and trustworthy legal advice and/or representation.

DO NOT TRUST STEWART FRIED

I used Mr. Stewart Fried in a potential litigation case in the District of Columbia. This association was short and very bad experience for me. I do not live in the District of Columbia but the matter at hand required local counsel. Mr. Fried made representations to me that our personal counsel of 2...0 years could not believe because they would have required enormous expenditures to litigate with little to gain. On the recommendation of our personal counsel Mr. Fried was dismissed and alternative counsel was engaged. Mr. Fried is not someone I could trust.
