A Skilled, Agressive, Confident Leader.

I was recently represented by Paul Kiyonaga of Kiyonaga & Soltis, P.C., in an unfair dismissal matter. Mr. Kiyonaga’s depth of experience and legal expertise were instrumental in achieving a favorable settlement against my former employer. Throughout the engagement, he provided clear, comprehensive g...uidance at every stage of the process and demonstrated exceptional skill in mediating the final resolution. His command of both the relevant law and the dynamics of the mediation process—including the stakeholders involved—was exemplary. Challenging a former employer can be an intimidating undertaking, but Mr. Kiyonaga’s steady leadership and ability to demystify the proceedings created a consistent sense of confidence and security throughout.

EEOC Win!

Because of Mr. Kiyonaga’s skill, I prevailed on a difficult EEO claim against a federal agency. It was a precedent-setting case in which I was awarded substantial backpay and other forms of relief (restructured job, sanctions for the bullying offender, increase in salary) and am very pleased with the... result. While Mr. Kiyonaga already had considerable experience in federal employment law, he dove into careful research on new topics my case presented. Over the course of the 8-year process, he responded quickly to my concerns and gave clear advice, always based on ongoing discussions about my goals. He was also open to new ideas and was always personable and respectful, even in high-stakes negotiations with agency attorneys. His calm and collaborative manner saved the day many times. He’s tough, smart, and he wins.

Overdue Review

Mr. Kiyonaga wonderfully represented a loved one at a parole hearing aside from an appeal. After all these years, he kept a wonderful record of the case and important supporting documents. Mr. Kiyonaga is an ethical, compassionate, and thorough lawyer. He is multilingual and can communicate in other ...languages besides English- which is a huge plus! I could not have trusted anyone else with this case. Although initially, we had a setback, we ended up getting up a very favorable result. If you want someone who will take their time to learn the facts, give you a clear-cut perspective on things, and someone who simply cares-- go to Paul Kiyonaga. You won't be dissapointed.

thoughtful, attentive, experienced lawyer

Paul's thoughtful counsel based on extensive experience helped me gain advantageous changes to a proposed separation agreement with my now-former employer. He was always instantly responsive and interested in each development. He made clear that he cares about my well-being and professional progress ...and fair treatment of me in the separation. I highly recommend him to anyone undergoing a difficult workplace environment or separation.

Discrimination Action

Paul Kiyonaga was exactly the lawyer I needed when my supervisor made a business decision to remove me from civil service and replace me with two younger people -- and this after over 28 years of highly recognized and awarded service. Paul crafted a creative solution, worked around the clock and on ...weekends and was able to save my career during one of the darkest points of my life. I highly recommend Paul Kiyonaga for employment actions. He is the fighter you want on your side.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
