Brittney Nicole Butts

Brittney is a Washington, D.C., attorney committed to assisting clients with taxation, estate planning, and family law matters.

Brittney earned her Bachelor’s degree in Legal Communications at Howard University, completed her J.D. at Charlotte School of Law, and was awarded a Master of Laws from American University Washington College of Law. During law school, Brittney served as an intern to the Honorable Noelle C. Collins in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Brittney also worked as a legal intern at the Office of Legislative Counsel for the State of California, and as a summer associate in the general counsel’s office at The Fresh Market, a North Carolina based specialty grocery chain. While earning her Master of Laws, Brittney worked at the Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic, assisting taxpayers and families in resolving income tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service.

Before beginning her legal career, Brittney served as an intern in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence, and taught middle school mathematics and science in Atlanta, Georgia.
