Biography
Patrick Burns is an associate at the Gordon & Rees, LLP Washington, D.C. office and is a member of the Employment and Commercial Litigation practice groups. He is licensed in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. and has first-chaired matters in all three jurisdictions.
Mr. Burns has successfully defended businesses and individuals in a variety of cases, including construction, employment, defamation, and contractual disputes. He has handled matters through all phases of litigation and has taken many cases to trial. Mr. Burns has extensive experience in personal injury actions, including automobile accidents involving tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Mr. Burns worked for two prominent insurance defense firms in northern Virginia and handled a diverse range of commercial litigation disputes.
He is active with the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and currently serves as the president-elect of the Young Lawyers Section of the Fairfax Bar Association.
