Jessica A. Pillars

Jessica Pillars is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation practice.  Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis in real estate and finance related litigation.  Ms. Pillars represents lenders and servicers (including national banking associations and HUD- and Fannie Mae-approved lenders) in workouts and bankruptcy, as well as lender liability disputes, construction disputes and creditors’ rights issues.  Ms. Pillars also represents real estate developers and contractors in complex contract disputes.  Additionally, Ms. Pillars handles employment law issues, including risk management and working to resolve employment disputes prior to litigation.

 Ms. Pillars graduated from American University, where she participated in a legal trial clinic as a student attorney representing clients in the District of Columbia Superior Court.  She also worked as a law clerk at Krooth & Altman LLP, where she researched issues and drafted legal memoranda involving interpretation of administrative laws and regulations, lender liability issues, and contract disputes.
