Biography
Anitra Ash-Shakoor is the founding attorney at Capital Justice Attorneys, LLP. An accomplished bankruptcy lawyer, she assists clients in Washington, D.C. and Maryland with Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies. She also practices probate and estate planning in D.C.
Anitra is proud to be very active in her community. She often provides pro bono work for low-income individuals facing bankruptcy and was actively involved in the ACLU of Philadelphia’s NAACP v. City of Philadelphia – 5th Monitoring Report Pedestrian & Car Stop Audit.
Anitra Ash-Shakoor is the Chair of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia's Access to Justice Committee; a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys; a member of the Greater Washington Area Chapter, Women’s Law Division, National Bar Association, among many other professional affiliations.

This was unfortunate but my valued clients are definitely in capable hands.”
