Keep knocking on those doors . Never give up

My experience with the entire Mendoza law firm was great. I was treated with respect, courtesy and compassion from the very beginning.

Something important is to have faith.

They are amazing lawyers. Very informative with the process and always helping out. I’m still in the process but María makes me feel at ease. Thank you María for all your help.

Do not hire

I don’t usually write reviews, but after being closely involved in how cases are handled, I think it’s important for people to understand what they are signing up for. One of the biggest gaps I observed is between what clients believe is happening with their case and how the process actually works... in practice. Many clients start their case thinking they will have direct involvement or oversight from specific attorneys, but as the process moves forward, it becomes less clear who is actually managing the day-to-day work and decision-making on their case. Communication around this is not always transparent, which can lead to confusion about roles, responsibilities, and who is providing guidance at each stage of the process. I also noticed that different parts of the case may be handled by separate teams, which is not necessarily a problem in itself, but it is not always clearly explained to clients from the beginning. Over time, this can create a disconnect between expectations and reality. In addition to that, communication and follow-up can become inconsistent, especially in longer cases. Some cases remain in “review” for extended periods without clear timelines, and clients often have to request updates instead of receiving them proactively. By the time these issues become clear, many clients have already invested a significant amount of time and money, which makes it difficult to step away from the process. For anyone considering this firm, I would strongly recommend asking detailed questions from the start: • Who will actually be handling your case on a daily basis • What level of attorney involvement you can realistically expect • How communication between teams is managed • How updates will be provided and how often Legal processes require clarity, transparency, and accountability. Without that, it becomes very difficult for clients to fully understand what is happening with their case. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because improving transparency around roles and communication would make a significant difference.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
