Attorney Joel Pettit

Attorney Joel Pettit, Is specialized in his experience and ability to deal with medical evaluation boards. He was able to help me set my records straight and get my paperwork correct. His knowledge to help me win in the beginning of my medical evaluation board(MEB)side, was excellent and saved time a...nd heartache and money. If you’re in a military medical evaluation board and your paperwork isn’t straight or you feel like you’re gonna get less than you deserve. I recommend that you reach out to Joel For assistance to fight on your behalf. Thank you for your support Joel!!!

USAF Medical Review Board

I was referred to Joel on a military medboard website and from the moment we got in contact, he walked me thru the entire process and answered all the questions I had. Mr. Pettit got my rank reinstated by the SECAF, 100% disability, and more importantly: He got the CRSC board to recognize my combat r...elated injuries. There are no words to describe how pleased I am with the outcome. He looked out for me and my 18 years of active duty service. The fee I paid up front for Joel's services was returned by 2 months of entitlements that I am now receiving for the rest of my life.

24,900% Return on Investment

Joel is a MACHINE, and when I put $1 into this MACHINE, $250 came out. When I put $100 in, $25,000 came out. And when I’d put the rest of >$5,000 in, $1,250,000 came out. And then the MACHINE called to refund the remainder of his retainer. Long version: 5x months into IDES, the VA rated me 0% for... a referred condition that my medical documentation clearly supported at 30%. IDES gave me a week to write a VARR, and on the 4th day, and after ample pro bono advice in the preceding advice, I retained Joel. He worked through the entire weekend and late into Sunday night getting a 122x page VARR together - it was a masterwork of art and science. The VARR decision came back in _12x days. I’d been told to expect it in 6x weeks. It was so fast that it bypassed my PEBLO and MSC entirely – they found out days later. My PEBLO said "my eyes popped out of my head" when he saw the VARR decision. The VARR decision took me from 0% to _60%_, not the 30% we were aiming for. This took my overall DoD medical retirement rating from 50% to _75%_; a 25% increase in my monthly DoD retirement check, equaling $2,985/mo., COLA adjusted, for the rest of my life. Joel’s fee was >$5,000. An inflation-protected annuity paying $3,000/mo. would cost me $1.25M today. So my ROI on Joel’s >$5,000 fee was 24,900%. Joel is honest, intrepid, and supremely competent. He’d been very generous with his time earlier in the year developing a strategy for my medical retirement that integrated my own constraints/previous work, that did NOT involve my retaining him. When I finally retained him (at the 11th hour) to write my VARR, he worked through the weekend to get it done, and the results far exceeded anyone's expectations. Don’t be a clown and try to do this yourself. Hire THE MACHINE.

You’ll Never Regret Hiring Joel Pettit

I am so glad I hired Joel Pettit Law to help me with my Line of Duty investigation. I have been in the Navy Reserves for 10+ years and never knew I had to get an LOD for the injuries I suffered during ADT or drill. I was going to the VA and had a VA disability rating, so I thought I was good to go. ...I was taken completely off gaurd when I was put in the Medical Retention Review or MRR process because my knee started to give out and my Command wouldn’t do a Line of Duty investigation because the injury happened a few years ago. I tore multiple tendons and ligaments in my knee during two different AT’s and told my Lead Petty Officer about it each time. I even told the CO when my knee buckled during a physical readiness test and I barly passed. Apparently none of that mattered without an LOD. Joel not only explained why my saying something DID matter, but showed me the exact part of the regulations that outlined exactly what the Command should have done when I said something. He clearly knew exactly what he was talking about. Within a few hours of my initial call with Joel he requested my MRR package and got started on reviewing all the documents the Navy relied on to deny me a fair process. Joel even called my Command and was able to get my drilling status reinstated until the Navy made a final determination about my MRR package. In the end, the line of duty got done correctly and in my favor. Joel even got me retained in the Reserves. I am extremely thankful because if I ever have to leave the Navy because of my knee, at least I know that they cannot say it didn’t happen on duty. Honestly, I was completely in the dark about all this before I spoke with Joel. His fees were more than worth the trouble he saved me and the likely result of being medically separated without any benefits. I can’t say enough good things about Joel. He worked with me after I got off work, explained things clearly, and came up with a strategy that handled my current situation and took into consideration potential issues in the future. If you want to hire a lawyer to help with your MRR or PEB, Joel’s the one to hire.
