Kate Butler

Ms. Butler is my personal attorney, and as long as she continues to practice, I could not imagine hiring any other. I first contacted Kate for a minor landlord/tenant issue (as one might imagine, there are a number of slumlords in Wilmington). When I came in for the initial consultation, I really... just wanted some advice on how to amicably separate from an abusive landlord. True to her form, Kate took the issue seriously and gave me some great advice. She showed me how to get the landlord to agree to terminate the lease AND pay double damages (the landlord had engaged in some shoddy record keeping regarding the security deposit). Kate also has extensive litigation experience, especially in the criminal arena. Her recent tenure in the Delaware Attorney General's Office gives Kate a distinct advantage over her competition (you know, those guys with the exorbitant hourly fees). The law is a constantly evolving field, and Kate has a firm grip on the newest technology being used by police and the Jennings administration that befuddles older attorneys. I don't hesitate to call Kate with my legal problems, and I recommend her unequivocally.
