John G Harris

John G. “Jack” Harris co-founded Berger Harris in 2009 with Benjamin “Buddy” Berger.

Jack is a veteran litigator, navigating the state and federal courts of Delaware, particularly the Delaware Court of Chancery, for clients of all type, size and geographic origin.

His experience encompasses the swift and efficient resolution of virtually any type of complex commercial, corporate or real estate matter arising in Delaware, as well as disputes and lawsuits involving the operation and interpretation of partnership agreements and limited liability company operating agreements.

He provides preventative counseling to clients on the application of Delaware law in day-to-day operations and powerful strategic advice on successful long-term business planning.

Before co-founding Berger Harris, Jack was a partner with Reed Smith, an international Amlaw 100 firm, and Riley Riper Hollin & Colagreco, where he headed-up the Delaware litigation practice. Earlier, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William L. Witham, Jr. of the Superior Court of Delaware, as well as the Honorable George L. Seltzer of the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Jack is active in the local civic community, serving in a number of ad hoc and long term leadership positions for a variety of charities, including serving on the Centreville School Board of Directors and as a board member of Junior Achievement of Delaware. He also serves as an attorney guardian ad litem for minors involved in Family Court proceedings through the Office of the Child Advocate.
