Heather Long kept her word. When I thought I was ready to give up, she said she would make them pay or take my case for free. Ms. Long got me into the right therapy and made sure that I was taking care of myself while filing paperwork and taking over my case. My case is still ongoing but let me say M...s. Long is holding my hand each day. I love her and her assistant, they really know how to make you feel like they're there.

This attorney gets paid from the DOL, so if you are perusing a claim again the Dept. Of Labor, she’s NOT your representative. I honestly believe she negotiates with the defense attorney and the insurance company as well. She represented me while she was at KIMMEL, CARTER, ROMAN, PELTZ, and O’NE...ILL. I believe they fired her for reasons they wouldn’t disclose to me, but probably the same reason(s) I would recommend you seek other legal representation before accepting her. Larry Kimmel himself called me and asked me to remove my review of her from his website because she doesn’t work there anymore, but I respectfully declined granting his request. She has a team of very attractive women that are quite persuasive in getting a claimant to settle their claim. After YOU fight for years, because this team isn’t as battle ready for a knock down drag out battle, you will still surrender 1/3 of your settlement to them, which is absolutely undeserved. You’re better off REPRESENTING YOURSELF, so long as you DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, and MAINTAIN ALL RECORDS!!! Do NOT give them any original documents you may obtain, legal,medical,financial,etc., only copies. I will be battling disability for the remainder of my physical life because I settled a claim after a 3 year battle, and presented most(90%) of the evidence myself, which the settlement was less than the cost of debt I accumulated during the 3yrs. I lost EVERYTHING during my claim because I received ZERO money throughout the claim…ZERO!!! I lost my home, 2 vehicles, had no health insurance, was living with friends, seeking nutritional assistance from food banks, etc. The battle was necessary, but this attorney wasn’t the proper representation for my specific claim. This attorney and the insurance company attorneys are friends, not just opposing representatives. I’m still receiving medical bills from visits during the claim. MEDICARE BLAIMS WORKERS COMPENSATION, WORKERS COMPENSATION BLAIMS MEDICARE… guess who that leaves responsible for the bill… ME!!! DO NOT LET HER PERSUADE YOU TO GET A Medicare Set Aside Account(Bridgepoint)(OPAL)… THEY WILL DECLINE FUTURE TREATMENT AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE INTEREST NOTIFICATIONS ON THE MONEY THEY TOOK OUT OF YOUR SETTLEMENT, mine was over $21,000. and they declined treatment so much, I just stopped getting treatment because I can’t afford the medical bills. Now, I am still battling with the Social Security Administration for assistance, which has been a continuous battle since 2022 when I was deemed permanently injured due to the work accident. STILL BROKEN and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT I RELY ON GOD’s GRACE AND THE TOLERANCE WITH WHICH HE BLESSES ME, TO ACCEPT EACH DAY WITH GRATITUDE TO HIM!!!
