Bobby Hoof

Bobby Hoof was retained to represent me as defense counsel in a criminal trial. Hoof advised against and in effect refused my desire to testify and to have a jury determine the facts. I had a bench trial 'decided' by the judge. I was wrongfully convicted of an alleged crime which never occurred. I...n spite of my actual innocence I spent years incarcerated. The false conviction is still on record. Hoof was not responsive to my attempts at contribution towards my defense. I, the defendant, knew/know better than anyone the facts of the case. Hoof disregarded my statements of fact, suggestions, and requests as he hastily slapped together a haphazard response to the allegations against me. As a result a quick conviction sent me to jail and a wrongful conviction swept under a city hall rug. I have lost confidence in Hoof's abilities and diligence to defend, the 'judge' regarding his discretion to decide guilt or innocence and this system which is supposed to promote justice. I remain devastated from the damage this wrongful conviction has wrought on my physical and mental health and that of my children, family and loved ones. Hoof lacked effective response to his client and aggression to defend. I was whisked off to jail, though innocent, where I met numerous others dissatisfied with Hoof's lack of representation. I have no knowledge of these inmates' case particulars, their innocence or guilt. All i know is that they received convictions, were represented by Hoof, and were dissatisfied with his representation.This review is intended to serve as a warning to anyone who might consider Hoof as defense attorney to consider another attorney. I was better off with the public defender assigned where her dedication to defend was far superior to any purported attempt Hoof made in my behalf.
