Very satisfied

We hired Mr.Banks and we are so thankful that we did! My husband had an arrest that we needed help with. My husband and I were very upset and nervous of possible outcome. At 1st hearing he made us feel very at ease and not embarassed. All went well and the communication throughout this process has... been, and is continuing to be, amazing. Questions about paperwork and calls are answered/returned immediately. (Sometimes within minutes) Ashley is an amazing asset to the office because she is thorough and the follow up is exceptional. They are patient with calling around his demanding work schedule which is much appreciated. We will use again if ever in need and recommend for sure. THANKS for all you are doing to help us put this behind us.

A+ Lawyer, Highly Recommended!!!!!!

I had a run in with the law for the first time in my life a few months back in April. I contacted Matthew about it and he went out of his way to call me at the first chance he had since he was on vacation. From there, he assured me that everything was going to be alright and that he will guide me thr...ough the process. Throughout the process, that is exactly what he did. To have a lawyer that is there the minimal is one thing, but to have a lawyer like Matthew there by your side all the way to the end is why I would highly recommend Matthew and the Banks Law Group!!!

Very Grateful

I had met Attorney Matthew Banks when he was just starting out. I didn't know him as a lawyer, but as a customer at where I worked. I switched jobs and hadn't talked to him in years. But when my teenage son got him self in some trouble he is who I thought of to call. Now since I had last talked to A...ttorney Banks, he had built up his firm quite substantially. I thought for sure he would just assign my case to another lawyer in his firm. I mean the case was a big deal to me because it was my son but it was nothing that was news worthy or very interesting. Yet he called me back directly, said he would take my case. The communication from his office is outstanding. I never had to call again, they reached out to me, multiple times. Kept me up to date with every step of my sons case. Charmaine and Ashley are definitely assets to Banks Law Firm. They emailed me or called and helped me with any questions or to remind me of upcoming court dates. Attorney Matthew Banks showed up for all the court dates and you could just tell at the Reading Court House that he had gained a lot of respect from all the staff including other laywers and Judges. He also took the time to talk to my son, give him advice and direction. I hope I am never in need of an attorney again, but I feel very thankful knowing that I would be in such good hands. I will of course be recommending Attorney Banks and his staff to everyone I know.

Highly Dissatisfied

I began my search for an attorney late August 2017. I spoke with Mr. Banks for a phone consultation and he had a good pitch and selling points. I agree to work with him and he told me that they would be in contact with me no later than two days after I paid my retainer fee. This attorneys law firm... does not respond to calls or e mails and does not complete paperwork timely or correctly. I paid my retainer fee on Monday August 21st. I did not hear anything from anyone in his office and on Friday I called the office to see what was going on. They reassured me that I would hear from someone by 3p.m. EST. At 4 p.m. EST I called again. It went straight to voicemail of each staff member I tried to contact. I was not contacted until close to 5 p.m. GMT, which is 7p.m. EST. Finally I was able to speak to an attorney in his firm named Connor Line, who of all things was going on vacation for the next week. He reassured me however that he would still wprk on my paperwork while he was on vacation; leaving me to believe it would be filed by the end of the week. That did not happen. They did not even send me a invoice for the petition to modify until 10 days after my conversation with him. My petition to modify was finally submitted filed September 15th. That is 25 days (3 and a half weeks) after paying the retainer fee with very little to no communication. Before Connor Line filed the petition he forwarded me a copy. I told him that it did not include one of the other parties and asked if he can fix it before he filed. I did not hear from him until he emailed me to confirm that paperwork was filed. On October 4th I called the courts to find out if a hearing had been scheduled. I found out that the paperwork did not include the other party that I had told Connor Line was missing and had to be ammended. He failed to fill out the paperwork properly even after I pointed out about the possible indiscretion. At that time I contacted Connor line and asked what was going on. He said that he did not know how to fix the paperwork and was waiting for the judge to tell him what to do and I would most likely hear from him the following day. That was October 4th. I did not hear back from him again until October 13th, when he told me that he would get in touch with me within two days. It is now October 22nd, two months after I paid my original retainer to Matthew Banks law firm and I still don't know what is going on with my petition to modify custody case. During this mix-up with Connor Line Junior Litigant of the Banks Law Group I called Matthew Banks to find out what was going on. He told me that his attorneys were busy and courts and that is why so many people hire them. That is no excuse for my case to still not have a court date or even knowing what is going on with the petition. Its been two months since I paid my retainer.... what is going on?

As a society, we cherish the right to formulate and hold our independent opinions; however, what we don’t accept is the clear manipulation of facts to justify the falsity of these opinions. I find this review incredibly confusing on many levels. Attorney client privilege bars any attorney from disseminating confidential or privileged information regarding a client. That being stated, it is important to note that these review sites only allow one perspective and as we all know, there are two sides to the story. Focusing on your inaccurate factual allegations within the review, it is quite confusing because at one point you state that our firm “does not respond to calls or emails”, yet a paragraph later your chief complaint is that you were called back an hour late on a Friday afternoon? You simply acknowledge that you received a return call and in fact all of your calls/emails were returned, via your synopsis. Our team stays in the office until 6:30-7:00pm nearly every night making sure that our clients receive the attention they deserve. Moreover, we have a strict policy that any correspondence from a client is addressed within 24 hours. We stay late because each of our Attorneys spends most mornings and afternoons in court, helping our clients. We make our communication policy very clear at the outset of each case. We make the process very clear at the outset of each case. Drafting custody petitions isn’t just a simple “copy and paste “exercise, especially at The Banks Law Group. We pride ourselves on accuracy and timeliness. I think this is illustrated by the 31 other 5 out of 5 reviews on this site and the glowing reviews on our website, facebook, and other social media platforms. Often times The Banks Law Group is hired mid case, which means we need to access the documents from the court, source the evidence from the client, and conduct an investigation to ascertain the truth and veracity of the allegations. This is the job of a lawyer and to simply do it “over night” is absolute nonsense. Additionally, each case presents a unique set of circumstances. For example, sometimes non-relevant parties are wrongly attached in the initial pleadings. Then a few years later, there is no need for these people, yet this is the way the action number has been docketed. Unfortunately, the legal system is not always an exercise in “efficiency.” I’m sure you have heard the phrase “the wheels of justice turn slowly.” This isn’t a McDonalds drive through.
