Wonderful Lawyer Wonderful Firm

I hired this attorney to represent me in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy to save my home. I had two prior Chapter 13 cases that were dismissed. This time around was so different than the last two cases that didn't work because Brenna and her paralegal Kirsten informed me every step of the way what to do and... made sure, I understood the process. The Trustee also said at the zoom meeting I'm in good hands because I have an excellent lawyer and they are so right. My house is saved, and I am paying half if not less for my car payment through her guidance and actually saving money for the first time in over 3 years. There are no words to express my gratitude to her and this firm. She is truly a miracle worker and will never make you feel bad for asking a question and won't give up on you, judge you or make you feel bad about Bankruptcy. She is very informative about the law and how the Bankruptcy Code is there to give you a fresh start and is very misunderstood law. She also said my credit will increase once I file Chapter 13 and she was right. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and when the phone rings I am no longer scared. I want to thank this firm from the bottom of my heart for their help!!!

Bankruptcy a slow steady process... It is not for wimps... Do what your lawyer oor thee court tells you... When they tell you!

We spoke with several attorneys before choosing Brenna Mendelsohn. The first time we filed there were alot of missed calls and missed cues. We were busy with my recovery, 2 weddings, and Brenna had her first baby. While in Illinois our missed cues with each other caused a missed filing date. They wou...ld call me and my cell reception was so bad the messages would arrive the next day or not at all. We would call them every morning and leave messages and not hear back. That really frustrated us that things did not work out the first time. We spoke with Brenna and left things calm down then the second time we really were ready to file for bankruptcy and keep on track. Our second filing went much better. As we met and chose what was going in the bankruptcy and what wasn't the court set our monthly amount to pay the trustee each month. Over the first couple of months we realized we missed items or had the wrong amount listed. Kirsten and Brenna would handle all the changes we made and would give us the new amount to be paid. The only thing I did not know was if you listed a debt and the company ignores the paperwork sent them, that that debt remains and is not eliminated. I wasn't ready to hear that from Brenna. I was always told if they don't answer the court orders or filings the bankruptcy took care of that debt. So although we went through a bankruptcy, the second largest filing case was not erased. I was upset to hear that. I would have been more ready if told in the earlier filing days, not while we were closing the case. So we keep trying to figure a way to clear that filing, but they don't respond. The last thing we heard from them was they put a lean on our house and haven't spoken to us at all. We made our monthly payments as scheduled and finally after 4.5 - 5 years we paid back all we owed everyone with the one exception, the trustees amount, and our lawyer and can pretty much be done with it. Were there issues along the way... yes there were, there was at times issues arise that caught us off guard and we would call Kirsten and she would explain it to us or she would have Brenna call us back. One thing to keep in mind when filing for bankruptcy is to ask questions about the different types. We did not realize there we that many different types of bankruptcies. We didn't really know what kind we had until we were filing our paperwork. We thought there was one kind, a Chapter 7. We were wrong and found out we were a Chapter 13. I am sure Brenna probably did tell us, but finding out 3 month down the road, shook us up a bit. During all thru the bankruptcy we put our faith that Brenna would do what we needed her to do. We were in a car accident during all this and had to let Brenna go while we were dealing with all the doctors, surgeries, physical therapy, and are still facing more surgeries and rehapping. We knew we had to trust Brenna and Kirsten to let us know what we had to do and when. We had issues with our communications at times and the every day problems. But regardless of the problems with the first filing and second, we learned you need to have trust in which ever lawyer you chose. We had that trust in Brenna and Kirsten and tell anyone who asks for a bankruptcy lawyer Brenna 's office number and tell the Kirsten is her secretary and the two of them make a great team, they listen, they research, they get you your answers. Don't think oh this will only take a little bit of time and my problems will be solved... WRONG!!! Bankruptcy is a slow process. The lawyer you chose has alot of footwork to check everything before you file with the courts! You have 2 classes you must complete online. Don't rush the classes there are alot of questions that make you think... and teach you how not to do what you did that got you to this point. Be honest with yourself, your lawyer and their team, and the courts! When you are ready to really file for bankruptcy call Brenna Mendelsohn and Kirsten, you will be glad you did.

GREAT JOB!

I went to see Brenna when my home was going into forclosure. I was very scared and wasn't sure where to turn. She filed my chapter 13 bankruptcy and stopped the sheriff sale. The best part is that she was able to completely strip my second mortgage so i no longer need to make those payments. I am now... able to stay in my home and the amount of stress that has been taken off of me and my family is immense. I would definitely reccomend using her to file a bankruptcy.
