Amy was my lawyer in my divorce. She was very pleasant to deal with. We reviewed all of my paperwork and she calculated out all of my support (spousal and child support). She had me get reports from my accountant which she said would help in court (cost me out of pocket). We went to the hearing a...nd all the numbers she had calculated were way off. They would not even look at the reports from my accountant. My support was over 50% higher then she had figured it would be. After the hearing Amy told me to take certain steps with regards to making support payments. My exwifes lawyer said that I was wrong in doing what Amy told me to do. I questioned Amy on what to do and she said "well I guess do what the other lawyer said" . I'm paying a lawyer to have my back and she did no have my back at all. I feel she was very intimidated by my exs lawyer and curled up when she was confronted. I got rid of Amy as my lawyer hired a new one. My new lawyer could not figure out why the case was dragging out so long (which means more money out of my pocket) I was also told that I had been dug into such a deep hole by my previous lawyer I was never going to totally get out of it (referring to the amount of support I was paying). My new lawyer had the divorce finalized in 6 months and Amy made no real headway in two years. I believe the work Amy did was a waste and cost me alot of time and money
