Sean Patrick O'Mahoney

Sean P. O’Mahoney is an Associate at Burns White in the firm's Health Care and Long-Term Care Practice.  Based out of the firm’s Philadelphia office, his practice primarily involves defending nursing homes, health care facilities, and medical professionals in nursing home and medical malpractice litigation.

Mr. O’Mahoney received a Juris Doctor and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University in 2012. While there, he served as President of the Criminal Law Society, was selected for the 2011 Student Bar Association’s Best Organization Leader, and belonged to a trial team that placed in the regional finals of the American Association for Justice Trial Team Competition in 2011. In 2007, Mr. O’Mahoney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dickinson College, where he spent a year studying abroad in Bologna, Italy.

During law school, Mr. O’Mahoney represented low-income clients facing misdemeanor charges at the Roger Williams University Criminal Defense Clinic and drafted an appellate brief focusing on nolo contendere pleas that was submitted to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Additionally, he interned for the Hon. Brian Van Couyghen, Kent County Superior Court in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Mr. O’Mahoney is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.
