Obtain a copy of your credit report and review with your attorney. You do not need the whole account number.

Your question is difficult to understand as typed. If you want to remove a fraud alert, you would contact the credit bureaus and ask them to do so....

Yes, they can. I understand your argument here. You receive a 1099-C which says “cancellation of debt.” You would think this would cancel the debt....
