You are within the normal processing time of 3 to 6 months.
How can I apply for Change of Status from L1 to F1? Is there any other option except going out of US?

The first option is to file for a change of status in the United States, the second is to apply outside. No other option exists.
If i601 approved after 120 days from the interview, would we be called for another interview for i485 or would the case be close

If the I-601 is denied then they will deny the I-485. USCIS should then send the case to the Immigration court by issuing a notice to appear. You...
