Jake Shapiro

Jake is an associate in the Saxton & Stump Franchising, Licensing and Distribution Group as well as the Business and Corporate Group. Jake concentrates his practice primarily on the representation of franchise brands, emerging franchisors and franchisees in all aspects of development, operation and ownership, including the drafting and negotiating of business documents and agreements, and regulatory compliance. He also supports clients with general business and corporate counseling, and advises on commercial transactions and tax matters.

Jake has both his law degree and master’s degree in taxation from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, earning both degrees concurrently. He was previously an associate at an Am Law 100 firm based in Philadelphia and a Big Four accounting firm, and also served as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
