You have the right to fight the ticket. Your chances of winning are greatly enhanced if you have a lawyer representing you.

I don't see anything in your facts that would lead to a successful suit. The fact that you pled guilty is going to foreclose most causes of action.

It takes time to administer an estate. An inheritance tax return has to be filed reporting all assets in the estate, including the house and taxes...

It seems to me that shooting someone brandishing a 4 lnch blade in the head, even once, is not justified. Murder charges should be filed.
