With a legal career spanning over a decade, Mr. Fleming has been a pioneer in multiple justice movements—from leading efforts for prosecutor accountability during the Black Lives Matter movement to defending immigrants facing deportation during the second Trump presidency. His legal expertise is widely recognized, having been cited in mainstream books, academic papers, and prominent media outlets such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.

Prior to establishing his firm, Mr. Fleming honed his litigation and advocacy skills as an immigration attorney. His career also includes influential roles in criminal justice reform and legal journalism, having served as a content creation consultant and media relations associate for the Law Enforcement Action Partnership, a communications specialistfor the National Network for Safe Communities, and a columnist for FILTER. Additionally, as the founder of Foglight Strategies, he leveraged his entrepreneurial experience to launch Fleming Law, PLLC., which he now seeks to expand nationwide.

His legal foundation was built through prestigious fellowships, including time with the South Carolina Environmental Law Project and the North Carolina Coastal Resources Law, Planning and Policy Center. Mr. Fleming holds a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from the University of South Carolina (2012), graduating with honors. He is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and is an active participant in legal advocacy, having served on the boards of the Minnesota Freedom Fund and the ACLU of North Carolina.
