Robert S. Davis is chair of Flaster/Greenberg’s PA Real Estate Practice. He concentrates his practice on sophisticated commercial and residential real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, sales, development, loan workouts and restructurings, tax-free exchanges and real estate finance. He frequently handles complex multi-state transactions, and recently served as Pennsylvania counsel in connection with a $1.6 Billion loan transaction for a national supermarket chain.
Mr. Davis has extensive experience representing landlords and national retailers in shopping center leasing transactions. His clients include local and national developers, international retailers, public and privately held companies, owners and operators of nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and private investors. He has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for more than 20 years and has served as a discussion leader at the ICSC US Shopping Center Law Conference for the past several years. He is also involved in other prominent real estate organizations including Urban Land Institute (ULI), Zell/Lurie, and Jewish Federation Real Estate (JFRE).
Before joining Flaster/Greenberg, Mr. Davis was a partner in the Real Estate Department at Saul Ewing LLP. Highly regarded by his peers in the real estate community, he has published numerous articles on various real estate topics and is a frequent lecturer at Pennsylvania Bar Institute seminars.
An active leader in his community, Mr. Davis has received numerous awards and recognition for his charitable work throughout the Philadelphia region. Most recently, he was featured in an ABA Journal article, entitled "Lawyers Giving Back," for his leadership and participation in the single day construction of a playground at the new Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys and Girls Club in Philadelphia. He is a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia and serves on their Properties Committee. Additionally, he is a board member of Legacy Youth Tennis and Education (formerly Arthur Ashe) and serves on their Development and Tennis Committees.
