Louis H Kozloff

Louis H. Kozloff, a leader within the firm's Global Insurance Services Practice Group, focuses his practice on representing clients in all matters regarding insurance coverage and insurance-related litigation. With nearly two decades of experience in the insurance sphere, Lou represents domestic and international insurance companies in coverage and bad faith disputes involving a wide range of coverages, including general liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, professional liability, pollution liability, property, and marine insurance. His practice also involves representing clients in the litigation of environmental, complex tort and commercial litigation matters.

Lou’s extensive experience includes serving as vice president and chief litigation counsel for a large insurance company, where he oversaw all litigation, handled class action litigation involving claims practices and regulatory matters, and specialized in claims matters involving coverage and extra-contractual exposure. Lou draws on this unique insight to deliver effective advocacy and counseling to his clients.

A leading authority on the insurance industry, Lou frequently speaks at industry conferences to provide thought leadership on emerging and important insurance coverage issues, as well as at seminars for clients to counsel them in all aspects of insurance law, such as avoiding bad faith exposure. Lou also edits and contributes to Goldberg Segalla's Insurance and Reinsurance Report, a blog that provides regular updates on law, news, and developments for the insurance and reinsurance industries.

Prior to earning his juris doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude, Lou received his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College.
