I don't know how much time passed here but it sounds like you have a problem. A person who has their car stolen usually reports it right away.

It is a very serious charge. It is possible the DA gets hold of the case and upgrades the charges.

It may help but by itself it won't be enough to beat the case. Have a lawyer review the affidavit

Its very possible. Instead of getting in trouble file a motion to allow you to go out of state for a visit.
