There's a lot of stuff going on with this question. More information would be needed. Father would have to be served emergency motion for starters.
If it is a fine only then you can pay and he gets out immediately. If the warrant is a detainer then he has another issue.
If they are appealing you will have the right to hearing and hire counsel if you choose.
He has a loss because you backed out. He is entitled to keep a deposit. If he had your wife's card info he would then be entitled to it as well.
