What happens when charges get dropped? Do I still have to go to the preliminary hearing? Can you convince someone to drop them?

The charges are the DA's to drop so unless your family member runs the DA's office stop playing and speak to a lawyer who handles these issues.

Yes you should remove him. You will demand an accounting. If he is abusing his fiduciary role, he will be removed.

It is better to show and maybe you can work something out in court.

It may be good to try AVVO to get a consultation or call the Bedford county bar association to ask for a recommendation.
Missed court for a ticket I was unaware of. Docket says case is inactive and awaiting plea. Does this mean there is warrant

Yes you have a warrant and will need to make arrangements to surrender. You should speak to a lawyer to help you.

Why would you sue them? I did what they thought best. Now you are an adult. If you want to sever ties that is your decision just walk away.
