Overpriced, Arrogant and Does Not Listen!!

I hired this attorney who ran through a 6,000 dollar retainer after two court appearances!! My ex threatened to kill me and my current love interest. Filed a police report, notified attorney who calls me a few days later asking if my soon to be ex...can come over to borrow my computer!! I was flabber...gasted. She charged me for this of course. After asking the same questions multiple times to try and get an answer and being nickel and dimed for everything, while not answering my questions...I fired her. Hired another attorney and had my divorce settled within two months...

Highly recommended! I am a stronger woman and mom because of Megan Watson and her fantastic team

When my 20 year marriage was coming to an end, I asked my friends at the office which firm I should choose to represent the best interests of myself and my girls. This firm and Megan Watson came highly recommended.  I truly appreciated her kindness and compassion through the divorce process.  She gav...e me her strength and courage until I could find my own again. Megan handled all of the legal issues and protected us from the toxic effects of my ex so that I could focus on healing and my girls. It's been almost 2 years since my ex left the family, and I can say that I am a stronger woman and mom because of Megan Watson and her fantastic team.

Meg Watson - excellen family law resource.

Meg assisted me with complex intra-state Sutody, Support and Name Change matters. The name change went very smoothly and Meg was wonderful both in and out of the courtroom.

We prayed for a miracle. That Miracle came when we Megan took our complicated custody case.

First, I usually will only write a review when a service was exemplary. And in this case Megan exceeded that. Due to a multi-state custody issue we wanted the best attorney in Philly. So we started our search by asking around my sister who is a family law attorney here in Houston , TX who through th...e grapevine gave us the name of Megan's firm. I already respected the fact that her credentials as a SuperLawyer for several years was a great start. Another factor in our decision to hire her was her firm was all women attorneys and staff and we expected them to be sensitive AND SYMPATHETIC to women's issues and needs and NOT judge us as so common with the "old boy network" type of lawyers. So as the "mud slinging" began Megan handled it all courteously and professionally with us. But she is a opposing attorney's worst nightmare as she goes straight for the jugular and never minces words. You would think from her confidence and lack of fear she is a professional heavyweight boxer. The result was she absolutely CRUSHED our opponents. All without dragging out the case and going for the maximum amount of money to charge us by dragging the case out. Looking back now, being from a different state and trusting Megan was the best decision we could have made. It could have not turned out any better. After a big hug to her and her assistant we were happy to leave Philly with my Fiance and her daughter and begin our life. Thank You Megan!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
