Calling my landlord a landlord is an undeserved compliment; they were a slumlord. They gave me the wrong keys prior to move-in, so I couldn't open my front door. My heat didn't work, so I slept in 50-degree weather while I waited (in vain) for the slumlord to do something about it. One day I came hom...e and I had an infestation of huge black flies, feasting on something dead in the area above my drop ceiling. The slumlord ignored all of these and a dozen other issues. They fought me when I pressed them for expected completion dates. It was a nightmare. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable in my own home. Along comes Jeffrey. He picked up the fight where I left off, and he worked his ass off to get me out of that lease. Months went by, and the slumlord got nastier. My anxiety landed me in the hospital. When I got out, Jeffrey was still battling on the front line for me. I could tell he genuinely cared about my well-being and was just as disgusted with the slumlord as I was. The legal fight got uglier and uglier, but in the end, it was a success. I was able to break my lease without paying the remaining 6 months of rent. Jeffrey Katz is worth every penny and more. You cannot put a price on the ability to finally sleep peacefully in a safer, comfier home after the war we went through together. The entire time he was so kind, so genuine, and so good at his job that I don't know why anyone would seek out any other lawyer in Philadelphia. In summary: Jeffrey is the best. You should choose him. Choosing anybody else in Philadelphia would be a sad mistake.
