Coleen F. Middleton

As a former Assistant United States Attorney and Princeton graduate, Coleen successfully represents businesses, non-profits, and individuals in all types of appeals, criminal matters, and litigation.  

Coleen has 20 years of experience as a lawyer.  She is the owner and founding member of The Law Offices of Coleen F. Middleton, Esq., PLLC.  After clerking for a federal judge, Coleen practiced with preeminent large law firms.  Her clients have included global billion-dollar corporations.

Coleen has won jury and non-jury trials and appeals in federal and state courts.  She is an appointed member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  She teaches courses on trial advocacy and appellate advocacy for attorneys around the country.

In the public sector, Coleen served as First Associate Commissioner of the New York City Department of Investigation and as Assistant Deputy Mayor of Philadelphia.  She is also the author or co-author of several law journal articles and a book published by New York University Press.

Coleen is a graduate of Princeton University and New York University School of Law.  She is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York Bars.
