Baxter J. Macon III

My aunt uses this attorney because she knows him and he's a member of her church. He wanted him to draw up power of attorney papers, so I contacted him and we made an appointment in which he never showed or called to cancel. The next day after several phone calls to make and finally called me back an...d then it took an additional 3 to 4 hours for him to complete the papers and meet with me. He charged $100 for the serdelivered inappropriate in proper paperwork in which the notary I contacted refused to sign. The document had typos and then the area where the agent or power of attorney was supposed to sign had the wrong name. I contacted Mr. Macon again to let him know of the situation and to request a refund and his suggestion to me was to just cross out the wrong name and add mind so my problem is how does an attorney advise you to sign or cross our names on a legal document and think that that's okay. He seemed very frustrated that I asked for a refund he offered to rip up the check but I said I'd rather have it in my hand. This experience has been less than favorable because I was on time constraints and now I have to extend my trip another day to find a legitimate person to draw appropriate legal documents. This experience has been less than favorable.
