Would not recommend

want to share my family’s experience with attorney Glenn A. Brown. In my opinion, he has been a very poor business lawyer for us. About 10 years ago, he assisted my mother with what was supposed to be a sale of her property to the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA). The house was eventually demolis...hed, but my mother never received any payment for the property. Despite this, we were later told she owed $14,000 in legal fees, even though we saw no progress or results in return. We also experienced a lack of transparency and clear communication during the entire process. My mother eventually decided to stop working with him, and after that, the situation became even more stressful. He still holds power of attorney from years ago, and that has caused major problems with handling her sister’s estate. We feel that he has not provided fair or helpful support, and the process has created unnecessary difficulty for our family. Based on our experience, I would not recommend him as a business or estate attorney. We are now seeking outside legal help to try to resolve the issues caused by his involvement.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
