Very fair on billing, extremely upfront and explains what he...lps your case and what you have to avoid doing. Stick to this advice I cannot stress enough following David’s advice. Wonderful chap. To date David has fought extreme and many efforts to affect my custody, divorce and child support matters. I had a huge change in circumstances and David managed to ensure custody rights and won 100% and protected me from devious malicious efforts from a very overbearing attorney, with an underhanded emergency petition thrown in as a last ditch effort. I was very fortunate to meet David Henry due to an unfortunate tenant landlord issue. During our first conversation he explained the process which I would need to follow for resolution of the situation. He then explained his billing, which was extremely clear and fair, to me. Mr Henry was e...asily reached by cell phone and in the rare event that a message had to be left, a prompt call was returned. The case was difficult, however, he argued the case effectively at the hearing and we won!

After receiving my first and hopefully last Dui I was terrified. What do I do? How am I gonna afford this? And out of the extensive list of attorneys out there, who do I go with. I was recommended David Henry by a work associate. I got in contact with his law firm and he got back to me immediately. ...I didn't know what to do or how this was going to work. David was very accommodating and assuring. He spoke to me as a friend instead of just another client, which has made this whole terrible experience alot easier. He is extremely confident in his work and as well should be. He is more than professional and gives you the confidence that you need to get through this long, hard process. David kept me well informed along every step of the way. Keeping in contact with me and updating me on any changes in the case. Money is another big part of this terrible process. David was not just helpful with setting up more a than fair price but also a fair and accommodating payment schedule. I can't say enough about how much David has helped me through this troubling time in my life. I'm glad I made the in choice contacting David and would recommend to anyone else that has to make unfortunate decision on who to turn to with legal troubles to do the same. Thank you David.

(This is my opinion after working with David for over a year) I would give 0 stars if that were an option. What I can see is that he works very hard to defend himself on Avvo Reviews, but I never felt he worked very hard to help me or my case. Like others have said in the 1 Star reviews here an...d on google...the bills mount quickly and with little to no detail. I found communicating in a timely manner to be very difficult, despite all the 5 star reviews that commend him for his “incredible communication skills”. He makes you use his server which is cumbersome and no very mobile friendly and can be turned off by him, this preventing the ability to pull up any info after things go south with him (I have now lost my ability to get in now that I have posted this review). He refuses to text with clients (I have had other lawyers that are fine using text for quick info passing). He never once arrived to court before me, despite court mandated times for hearings. He completely missed my last child support hearing, so I defended myself out of desperation and got crushed. Very often our only “prep time” was done in the hallway right before court. He would never let me say a word in court without having a sometimes aggressive reaction telling me to be quite in what I and other family members found most awkward in that court room setting. In the end I worked with David for over a year, spent over $30,000 and I would not recommend him to anyone, ever...

Failed to represent me on several occasions. Never prepped me, nor advised me of what was coming up nor required by the court. Did not tell me when to be in court, had to find another lawyer at the last minute and on top of this refused to give me file until he was legally demanded to hand over the m...aterials. Further has an incredibly complicated means of payment which ensures you as the client will never get a penny returned to you should outstanding finances still be owed to you. Payment via credit card or cheque are not possible, it will be a direct transfer which you can never get back. Beware, do not get person as your lawyer.
