After attending Widener University School of Law on a full academic scholarship and graduating in 2004 in the top five percent of her class, Stephanie served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ralph Romano of the United States Department of Labor's Office of Administrative Law Judges.
In 2006, Miss Imbesi began working for the Social Security Administration as an Attorney Advisor in the South Jersey Office of Hearings Operations. Stephanie quickly climbed the ladder from Attorney Advisor to Senior Attorney, to Supervisory Attorney, to Hearing Office Director.
In December of 2015, Stephanie decided to take her knowledge of Social Security Disability to a firm on the Main Line of Pennsylvania, where she secured millions of dollars in back due benefits for hundreds of disabled individuals.
Stephanie founded Imbesi Disability Law in 2022 and continues to help the disabled people of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware secure the Social Security benefits they are entitled to. Because Social Security now offers telephone and video hearing options, Ms. Imbesi can represent disabled individuals in any state. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR), and has presented at their annual conferene on the topic of appealing Administrative Law Judge denials to Social Security's Appeals Council.
Ms. Imbesi was born in Southwest Philadelphia, attended high school in Springfield, Delaware County, and currently lives in Broomall, Pennsylvania with her husband Stuart, her son James, and their dog Payton. She enjoys spending time at the Jersey Shore and in the Pocono Mountains and is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
