The one star reviews are real the others are Matt’s attorney friends, this dude is not a good lawyer in any shape way or form. He has very poor communication, when I was arrested and sent to jail I didn’t hear from him until two days later and when I was in jail for a month he did not keep me updated... on my case, my family had to hawk him down and psycho call him for him to finally answer their call not mine since he so cheap even if you pay him for it he won’t answer collect calls by you in jail. And when it came down to it in court he is a pushover the prosecutor essentially violated my history to the judge getting my bail rasied 3k after he told me for weeks leading up to it that bail petitions usually don’t go up. Well when it comes to this sloth of a lawyer when he says “usually” expect the complete opposite. He’s old should retire or straight up never hired again. Your better off with public defender or a lawyer that shows up late before you contact this guy, it was a long month in jail because this poor excuse for an attorney didn’t have the backbone or expertise to get results. He may be friends with a judge or two but they don’t respect him so don’t expect any “leniency” they throw half decent deals at him for him to explain to me and my family that this is good. And he admits he is not a trial lawyer, after all I just said he’s not a criminal defense lawyer more like a backup public defender

Had an appointment set up to discuss my case, when I showed up to my scheduled appointment Matthew didn’t. His office was locked up as if nobody was home. I made three calls to his office and left a voicemail to boot. Still waiting on his response. Why set up and agree to give consultation then not s...how up? Unprofessional to say the least. Lawyers are a dime a dozen, so go somewhere else please don’t waste your time here.

Matt is not only a very nice person, he is an excellent lawyer with a strong grasp of his trade and applicable law. He has been extremely helpful to me over the years and when a case was out of his scope he was sure to guide me to a colleague who could help. I recommend Matt to everyone who is lookin...g for a top notch lawyer who really cares about his clients.
