Biography
Mark R. Schmidt is a founding and managing partner of Schmidt, Kirifides, Rassias & Rio and has devoted more than 30 years of his practice exclusively to Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law. A Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist under Pennsylvania Supreme Court and Pennsylvania Bar Association rules, Mark has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year from 2008 through 2025. He has argued multiple landmark workers’ compensation cases before the Commonwealth Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, including the Alanmark decision, which strengthened protections for injured workers statewide. Having previously defended employers early in his career and later representing injured workers exclusively, Mark brings a rare, comprehensive understanding of the workers’ compensation system. After suffering serious work-related injuries himself, he approaches every case with both legal precision and genuine empathy for the challenges injured workers face.

Good lawyer
My lawyer wad very good. He really helped me with ever step of my case. I was able to understand everything that was going on with the legal aspect of things. It was not easy or fast,but im glad we hung in there and i won. I would use hm again.
