The best thing you can do for your kids is to have a good marriage; the next best thing is a good divorce.

Whether you are contemplating a divorce or in the midst of one - this is a difficult time in your life. It is a volatile, confusing and quickly evolving situation that can become needlessly adversarial. It often brings out the worst in otherwise good people, but it doesn’t have to. You can live through this in a way that defines the process rather than letting it define you.
 

So what does a “good” divorce look like? It starts with a decision around how you want your kids to describe the divorce story. If you both love your children more than you hate one another then collaborative law or mediation may not only save you significant money, but save you the overwhelm, stress and deep-seated anger that comes with litigation.

I help people in three ways:

► I coach people struggling with the decision should I stay or should I go. My Program is designed to examine all the possibilities, options and outcomes so you can make a decision and move forward with peace of mind.

► As a mediator, I work neutrally with both parties to facilitate an amicable agreement, typically around the well-being of their children and equitable division of assets. Mediation allows you to stay in control and drive an outcome based on satisfying everyone’s best interest rather than “winning” or “losing” based on rigid positions.

► As a Divorce Attorney, I work within the framework of collaborative law.  I am your advocate who works with opposing counsel in a team approach that incorporates other resources and experts, including parenting and financial planning.
