I was referred to Jacobson&John in reference to my child who is on the autism spectrum .My child was having a difficult time in school. The school district which my child attended was not attending to my child needs. Once Mr Jacobson picked up my case we went back and forth with the school district ....After all the headache we came out on top!! Now my child now attends a great school all thanks to Mr Jacobson!! Stephen was very clear when we first met that the outcome of our future legal dispute with our school district could go either way so we knew going in that it could be a coin toss. Boy did the results beat our wildest expectations! We not only settled for the exact desired result but Stephen negotiat...ed getting funds back from the school district for past payments! Stephen was so professional every step of the way and just made it a painless process. Now our son is in the school he needs and is fully paid by the school district. Mr. Jacobson listened to the frustration we had experienced as a parent of a mildly Intellectually disabled child gave us hope and results. Repeatedly we had meetings with the school to no avail, truly year after year, exasperated we talked to Steve who agreed that our daughters educational need wer...e just being ignored. He won our case and the school made major changes to their program helping not only our daughter but all students with intellectual or emotional challenges. I would highly recommend Mr. Jacobson as caring professional and beyond that amazing! He had an excellent memory of details, a trait not many have. ! We truly were blessed to work with him.

Steve was amazing! He fought hard for our special needs daughter and kept us updated. He responded promptly by e-mail and phone. He made us feel like a very important client, although I am sure he had plenty of them! The process was emotional and frustrating for us and he walked us through it with e...xceptional kindness and understanding of our frustration with all the bureaucracy involved when fighting the IU. He eventually won our case, got our daughter everything she needed and a compensatory education account from the IU for everything they didn't do while we were in this process. When the director of the specialized preschool we were fighting to send her to was contacted by the IU they angrily wanted to know "where we found him", they clearly didn't like to go against him, which is a good thing :)! If the IU is upset you hired a particular lawyer, he is the one you want -lol! I would recommend him highly and would go back anytime we needed help again.
