BRILLIANT

Kate Coverdale is an exceptional attorney, and extremely knowledgeable about divorce law. She was very attentive to my needs. I was told by my spouse what I can't do, what I can't have. She reassured me by looking me in the eye and saying "I hope you are not taking legal advice from him." I came i...nto her office beaten down and scared. I was lost and fearful that this chapter of my  life was ending. I didn't know what the outcome would be. I didn't know what lay ahead.   She gave me the guidance, the strength and the courage to get through this unexpected time in my life. She gave me the confidence to end my marriage on my terms. She gave me the confidence to ask for more than I expected. Her expert financial background gave me the confidence to take what I earned from my divorce and move on.  I was 100% satisfied with the results Kate achieved in my case, and will forever feel indebted for the services she offered. Kate went above and beyond the expected role of an attorney. It was a privilege to have her represent me. Outstanding counsel!  I highly recommend Kate. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me.

Excellent Family Law Attorney

Kate Coverdale is an incredibly well respected attorney with the firm of Zlock & Coverdale. Kate was the primary attorney steering my complicated divorce. Specifically, she was the main person who analyzed and managed the financial analysis of the marital estate - which was the source of the most c...omplexity and controversy. Kate did a phenomenal job in organizing, communicating, planning and strategizing throughout the entire process. All along, she addressed all of my emotional concerns and fears, providing a very solid basis of trust and a calm approach to all interactions. Her professionalism and controlled demeanor was unfailing, and allowed for our team to consistently maintain the higher ground, and garner the respect of the court. Her preparation of all documents and her understanding and ability to persuasively present our side made me feel happy to be in such competent hands. She was able to expertly interact with the many other people involved with the case - such as business accountants, business lawyers, and business evaluators. At every turn, I felt that she was able to foster a sense of a unified front, and that we had a strong position supported by multiple people. After several years of working with Kate, I would have to say I am very pleased with how well represented I was throughout my divorce and equitable distribution process. No one can control the often belligerent, unfair, and irrational things that the opposing side chooses to do. Yet, in the context of many unbelievable and disappointing attacks from the other side, Kate maintained the course and persistently pointed and steered me in a direction that proved to be a successful one. She never compromised her professional standards of conduct, and at the same time never appeared weak or passive. If not for her and the firm, I personally would have not been able to maintain a level head and make clear decisions on my own. Kate allowed me to vent, and then she was able to be a buffer that removed the emotionalism and reactivity. In short, I am extremely pleased with the final outcome of the divorce - being able to step back from it and see it more objectively.

A Very Worthwhile Meeting

I needed a credible source of information on where I stood financially in my marriage. I felt very vulnerable, since I didn't know how a rather complex financial situation was likely to be resolved. Katie gave me the confidence to stand up to my husband and get the respect I deserved. He was furious ...at first and then once he realized I was working with good information, he developed a healthy respect for me that was absent for a long time. She's definitely a quality source for legal advice and I will recommend her to others.

Issues after divorce

As in most divorces, ex-spouses can be contentious and stubborn long after the divorce decree has been issued. Ongoing issues such as child support and medical reimbursements can remain difficult sources of conflict. Kate was extremely competant, reassuring and meticulous in fighting hard for my r...ights. She was readily available to me at all times and gave 110% effort on my behalf. As such, I have always been pleased with the outcomes she has obtained. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone I know.

A Knowledgeable, Skilled and Personable Counsel

I found Kate to be a highly knowledgeable, skilled and personable counsel and am grateful for her representation in my divorce action. She was always available, quite responsive, willing to explain her thought processes, an good listener, and had a realistic grasp of what was possible and what was n...ot. She helped navigate my divorce to what I consider to be a favorable conclusion. As an attorney, I deal with a number of attorneys, many of whom could learn a great deal about approaching matters with the same mixture of skill and knowledge that Kate demonstrates in the matrimonial arena. I would recommend her without question.
